Day out with Ian Jarvis to Reading Town Centre – including John Lewis . You will find all the great names in Reading’s High St. and its two major indoor shopping centres, The Oracle and the Broad Street Mall. Independents too as well as super restaurants.
If the weather is good the town is known for its beautiful parks, with the Thames running through a number of them. you can do a walking tour taking in places such as the medieval Abbey Gateway (where Jane Austen went to school) and the 12th century Abbey ruins. The town is a gem. Its history dates from the 8th century. The museum in the town hall (admission free) boasts an amazing Victorian copy of the Bayeaux Tapestry.
Coach fare, no admissions £18.00 per person. 9.15 – 9.30 am departure, leaving at 3.30pm for home.
